Agreeing to these terms

These terms cover your use of the Superior Compton Concrete website and any estimate or work you request through it. By using the site, calling us or sending a request, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

When we do a job for you, the written estimate or contract you sign for that job also applies. If it says something different from this page, the signed document wins for that job.

What we do

Superior Compton Concrete is a concrete contractor based in Compton, CA. We build driveways, patios, sidewalks, steps, slabs, footings, retaining walls and other flatwork, which is our word for flat concrete like driveways and patios, along with the other services listed on our home page.

The site describes our work in general terms so you know what to expect. It isn't a promise that a particular service, finish or schedule fits your property. Only your written estimate does that. You can read more about who we are on our About page.

Estimates and pricing

Our estimates are free, done in person and come with no obligation. We need to see the site because the price depends on things like how much old concrete comes out, how much digging and base work the ground needs, how the water drains, access for the truck, slab thickness and the finish you choose.

An estimate covers the work it describes, at the time it's given. If we open up the job and find something nobody could see beforehand, like soft ground under the old slab, buried debris or roots, we'll stop, show you and agree on any change in writing before we do the extra work.

Anything you read on this website about cost or timing is general information, not a quote for your job.

Scheduling, weather and cancellation

We set a start date with you once you accept the estimate. Concrete depends on the weather, so we may move a pour if rain or heat would hurt the finished slab, and we'll tell you as early as we can when that happens.

If you need to reschedule or cancel, call us at (424) 400-7244 or reach us through our contact page as soon as you know. Once materials are ordered or the site is dug out, the costs already spent may be owed as your signed contract sets out. Nothing here takes away any cancellation right the law gives you.

Your part of the job

We ask you to give our crew safe access to the work area, keep pets, kids and vehicles clear, and tell us about anything under the ground you know of, like sprinkler lines, drain pipes or septic parts. You're responsible for knowing where your property lines are and for any rules your homeowners association sets.

New concrete needs time to cure, which is the wait while it hardens and gains strength before it can take weight. We'll tell you when you can walk on it and when you can drive on it, and damage from using it sooner isn't covered.

Payment

Payment amounts, any deposit and due dates are set in your written estimate or contract. Unless that document says otherwise, the balance is due when the work is finished.

If a payment is late, we may pause work until it's caught up, and we may use any remedy the law allows to collect what's owed.

Warranties and what concrete does

We're fully licensed and insured, and we stand behind our work. Any warranty on a job is the one written into your contract, and it covers only what that document says.

Concrete shrinks as it cures, so small hairline cracks can show up even on a slab built right. We cut control joints, which are planned grooves that give the slab a place to crack in a straight line instead of at random, but no contractor can promise a slab will never crack.

No warranty covers damage from settling or moving soil we weren't hired to fix, tree roots, heavy loads beyond what the slab was built for, deicing salts, harsh cleaners, outside repairs, or normal wear and color variation. Beyond what your contract states, and as far as California law allows, we make no other warranties, spoken or implied.

Limits on our liability

As far as the law allows, Superior Compton Concrete isn't liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, such as lost use of a driveway while it cures or lost rent. Our total liability for any job is limited to what you paid us for that job.

This website is provided as is. We try to keep it accurate, but we don't promise it's free of errors or always available, and we're not responsible for outside sites it may link to.

If we disagree

If something about your job isn't right, call us first, because most problems get sorted out faster on site than on paper. Tell us what you're seeing and we'll come look.

If we can't settle it between us, either side may take the matter to a court with authority to hear it in Los Angeles County, unless your signed contract sets out another process.

Governing law

These terms and any work we do for you are governed by the laws of the State of California.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time, and the version posted on this page is the one that applies when you use the site. Changes don't alter a contract you've already signed with us.

If you have questions about any of this, reach us through our contact page or call (424) 400-7244. Expect a reply within 1 business day.
